SUMMARY
Best in Miniature is the design competition where the objects may be small, but the stakes are huge! Over ten episodes, eleven of the world’s best miniature artists put their skill, drive and technique to the test, as they build their miniature dream home, in painstaking detail, one room at a time, all at 1:12 scale! The miniaturists face two challenges each week that test their skills, as they scale down life-sized objects to miniature proportions; no detail is too small and perfection is expected.
The miniaturists' work is scrutinized by two exacting judges - UK miniature expert Emma Waddell and esteemed designer Micheal Lambie. By evaluating craftmanship, attention to detail and design flare, they will declare one competitor the Big Winner and the one who doesn’t measure up must leave the competition. Week after week, the remaining miniaturists battle it out to stay in the game until only three remain. In an epic 3-way final battle, only one will be crowned Best in Miniature and take home the grand prize!
In an episodic television first, the innovative new Probe lens is used for the room reveals. This technique gives the design ‘walkthrough’ the same look and feel of a full-sized design show. Combined with natural lighting conditions using RGB LED technology, viewers get a truly immersive experience that makes them forget they are inside a dollhouse!
